To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kelter. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Born in the west to a Spice Merchant, Ortegar learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Drusilia was born on a far eastern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Server. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Paymon lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents enrolled him in a Commoner school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
