Description: A middle-aged woman, she dresses in tan turtlenecks beneath a brown coat with grey slacks, and is pretty ugly. Her hair is silver and very short. Her gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Ella enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She has never given up on her singing dream.

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a tea of some kind. He wears baggy white pantaloons and a yellow scarf, marred by teas. He keeps his white hair in a flapper bob. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
