History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Naeris's homeland. Naeris decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born in the south. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.
