History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Cloak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: Bernard is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Bernard was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: This exceptionally lanky woman is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down. She wears a colorful flower in her chestnut hair. Her blue eyes peer out from beneath her top yellow hat.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. After coming to the age of reason, Heather took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: 5'8" and muscular, this southern man wears many layers of old clothing at all times. He sports a long red beard, and similarly colored long hair. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. Laucian is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Layabout they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Stylist, and he later adopted a second daughter.
