Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Joan is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She bought a greatsword and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

Personality: She has always had a great fascination with Half-Elven culture. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. While she appears to be a normal Halfling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end; and she wants to get laid

Personality: Hugh hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and he is greedy

Description: Runty and weak-looking, she wears white trousers with blue and red striped suspenders. She wears various colorful collared shirts. She has dyed her greying red hair a little too much giving a sharp red color. Her amber eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She hates Halflings with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her painting with anyone who is interested.

History: Jo was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with her sister.
