History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Marigold was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To pay off her debts; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Her job bores her to no end. She has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ilanis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ilanis. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it.

Personality: Azza hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was born at the edge of vast forest. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
