Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Nyx hails from a village terrorized by drow. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Laucian embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: Laucian lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and doesn't want to be a miner and was forced into it by his family

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
