Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Laborer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
