History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Melissa grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Melissa. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Merihim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
