Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Marbas fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bhevek does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Born to a Knight, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants to raise his children well
