Personality: Burto hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Burto was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
