Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She's also a talented Navigator, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. After a long history of fighting, Ida and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.
