He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Orcs in the east were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Vassago was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was born in the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dwarves in Gunnloda's homeland. Gunnloda decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
