Description: This man wears loose pants and a collared shirt complete with sweater beneath his coat. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. He has a long auburn beard with little hanging trinkets. His violet eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Paggen lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: To protect his home; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Carter born in the past three hundred years. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her painting with anyone who is interested.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Carter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Carter work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: To unite with her brother.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
