Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy white hair. Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Curran fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Grigi was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Through the years after Grigi was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Grigi's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shoemaker.

Description: This woman is bedraggled and starved. She is typically in her Carter uniform. Her copper crest is long and unkept. Her fierce red eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Biri wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Fighter, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... Biri is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Born in the west to a Carter, Biri learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Description: She prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for her hunting needs. Her chestnut hair is matted, messy, and big. Her brown eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She considers herself the perfect lady. She makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Avice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away.
