History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Avice was born on a far northern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Sailor. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and balancing her hectic life and new sailor responsibilities is difficult

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Pyntle was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Pyntle's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Pyntle and her spouse have recently divorced.
