Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Anakis grew up listening to her father's many stories. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
