He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: Shifting wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Shifting was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Performer for hire.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bertram does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Tanner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac
