History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: River was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away; and a deep hatred of gnolls

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. His brown hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He is baby faced.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.
