His father taught him the rudiments of the Roofer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). After a long history of fighting, Curran and his spouse have recently divorced.
