History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bhevek was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born in the south to a Barrister, Greeba learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
