She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: He is a pot bellied southern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright grey and black, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His tied-back hair is silver. His half smiles and gray eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Charles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Description: She is a woman of bearing and well nourished. She likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. She wears a colorful flower in her chestnut hair. This gold eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Beleth embodies much of what other species detest in the Tieflings. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and revenge

Description: She dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over her head. She carries a battered rapier and tarnished quarterstaff as well. She has styled her red crest well, parting it to the left. Her eyes are a pleasant gold.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Cook and was forced into it by her family; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
