History: Balam was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Nora has worked very hard to control her curse. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Nora never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
