History: She comes from a rich western family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help
