History: Ortegar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Scribe profession.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He worked as a nervous Soapmaker and found it very stressful. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has decided he is irredeemable

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She was granted arcane powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and someone believes her a fraud
