History: The child of a Locksmith, who enjoyed hunting, Rurik was taken on many hunting expeditions. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Dwarven companion (his 'brother'). He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and to end his boredom

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Shifting is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
