Her father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Vola was heart-stricken from the event, and her mother started working long hours to provde for them. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Right-Handed was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Right-Handed's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
