History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Gifted from a young age, Anakis studied abroad. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Ruler. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and balancing her hectic life and new ruler responsibilities is difficult

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Beatrice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Gimgen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Map Maker they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Weaver, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
