Description: An older man who wears an entirely white suit with black socks and a vest with buckled shoes, he is not a threatening figure. His moppish auburn hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: The child of a Dilettante, who enjoyed hunting, Purban was taken on many hunting expeditions. One day when Purban was young, his mother was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly his mother dropped to the ground dead. His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Purban was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His silver hair is cut short. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many dire rats want him driven away

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. He has a long blonde beard with little hanging trinkets. His gray eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and seeks redemption
