History: Maagog was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. At some point he was captured by brigands and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Her parents were killed by brigands in a raid when she was still a young child. The brigands captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many brigands want her driven away.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bryseis grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
