History: Harriet was born with her father's beautiful face. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the south to a Navigator, Halander learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He became a Navigator soon after.
