History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Veloptima grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Veloptima. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hûra grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hûra was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: She stands about 6'4" and wears tattered old clothes. Her right leg appears badly burned and disfigured. She wears her purple hair up. Her black eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Hecat was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers
