History: Egelina lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Sun fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
