Description: This tall, slender man wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. He has done his best to style his silver crest to look like a famous performer. He has red eyes.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Fax grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Fax. After a long history of fighting, Fax and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She is a Yochlol in disguise. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
