History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. History: Born in the south to a Detective, Matilda learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
