History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Valanthe was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Scribe. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and she desires power and/or immortality
