History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: She got into the Knight business at a young age. She has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and she has money and likes to spend it
