Description: An older man who prefers to wear violet pants and tee shirts, he is not a threatening figure. His white hair and beard is wavy and long. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines green.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to prove his worth to the world

Description: She wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. She has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to her abundance of muscles. She has a long white ponytail with little hanging trinkets. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are violet.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Cartwright born in the past three hundred years. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Avelina is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Avelina was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Tiefling companion (her 'brother'). She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Description: He has the majority of his body covered in plate. He has a moderate pudge and is not very fit. His wide-brimmed hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His gold eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and retire the richest man in the south

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he wears a fancy brown suit. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Cartwright profession.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fortune-teller. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To be a Cartwright again.
