History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Locksmith arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Through the years after Syllin was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Syllin's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
