History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. When Keyleth reached her early adolescence her Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

Personality: She hates gnolls. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: Dalgal was born the youngest of three triplets. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Dwarves became a terror of the countryside. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Body Guard for the past few years.

History: Gifted from a young age, Soveliss studied abroad. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Soveliss was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural half-elven artifacts is his passion
