History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Joan grew up listening to her father's many stories. Joan abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
