Personality: She is overprotective of those who hire her services. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: Jacoba was born with her father's beautiful face. In her youth she was a Layabout, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Born in the west to a Gardener, Thava learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Gardener. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and balancing her hectic life and new gardener responsibilities is difficult
