History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the south were limited. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Bricklayer arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her childhood dream was to be a Layabout, but she was a colossal failure. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Lia grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Lia. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
