History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Merla alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of giants

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Through the years after Ellywick was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Ellywick's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
