History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Varis grew up listening to his father's many stories. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

History: Born in the south to a Sailor, Sariel learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
