She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying north to reunite her family. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
