History: Valafar was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. She worked as a nervous Engraver and found it very stressful. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Laborer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
