History: Balam was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. She has shaved her head bald. She has several tiny ruby earrings on each ear.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Quillathe grew up listening to her father's many stories. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Her long auburn hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
