History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Althaea was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: Born in the north to a Fisher, Kerkad learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
