History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Hlin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her psionic talents. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.
